I sit here at my door step on my stoep (an Afrikaans word for: verandah) and I hear the rain meeting the earth.
I listen as a night jar calls out.
The melodic voice of Ronnie from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus pours into my ears.
I sip and feel the warmth of coffee filling my body.
My bag is packed, ready for adventure and fun with my good friend, Darren and also my brother for this coming weekend.
I smile at the completion of a good book that I have enjoyed reading.
787 pages later, I feel a sense of accomplishment.
My dishes are washed.
My spirit is at ease.
I feel alive.
I feel grateful.

You sound as if you are really at peace Darrel. Have a wonderful week-end. Please give Warren my regards.
Thanks Don. Those moments of peace come. But I do feel restless on the whole. Thinking of being abroad more and more 🙂
That’s the travel bug eating away at you.
