What I want for Christmas?!

I need some time to catch up with myself.  I need some time to be still.  I need to clear some head space.  I write to connect with myself and my loving and gracious God.

Feel free to read my ramblings, or just pass it by.

A week ago, I left the UK.
Now I find myself sitting in my mom’s little granny flat.
I feel “unsettled” within.
I feel excited. I feel a little “busy in my head”

WHAT DO I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS??

I want less of me, more of Him in my life.
And that is not just a Christian cliché.
I am tired of tripping up with the same old sins.
I am tired of being selfish at times.

I want to be IN LOVE with Jesus again, this Christmas.
I want to put HIM FIRST.
I came here to SA, (not because I missed SA and my family), YET so much more. God will use this LITTLE HEART and PASSION of mine and REACH people for HIM.
That’s what I want!

I want my friends, my family to be MADLY in love with God. Not in a cheesy way, but in a genuine way.
He is MEANT to be our EVERYTHING, is that not what we sing and pray about when worshipping by song or prayer?

Its been a weird time.
I feel like I am in transit right now.
It’s weird to think that I live here PERMANENTLY here.
Life ahead is still so MASSIVE. (that excites me!)
I am getting overwhelmed with silly admin stuff I need to sort out: phone contracts, bank accounts, household goods.

I haven’t had time to think about my “sadness” of leaving Bicester, UK.
God used an odd ball like me to reach many hearts for Him. wow!
To have seen on my Facebook wall recently and to see in my “travel book” the kind words people have said about me.

I am truly thankful.
This wreck of a soul (at times), God has let shine FOR HIM.
Thank you Jesus!

I also sit here, a little anxious about prep for a wedding I am doing next week.
I am really honoured and excited.
and as much as it’s a celebration of two people coming together.

I also have these lyrics from Sanctus Real in my head:

“And in this marriage of our hearts
There is no death do us part
For You are eternal
And I am eternally Yours
Oh I am eternally Yours”

(Eternal)

It is more.  Its the coming together of a couple and God too. 🙂
