Tonight I did a big rookie mistake.
Without thinking much of it…
I invited 3 lady friends to come to the Dear Reader gig.
Turns out on the night there were 4 girls I knew from different times in my life.
Was so awkward and funny.
I had to be a social butterfly and flutter from one lady to another…
I am excited. I get to see DEAR READER end of the month, here in Durban.
For awhile now they have been my favourite South African (well sort of) band.
Currently based in Berlin (Germany), their latest album Rivonia is an introspective look at life / growing up in South Africa in the Apartheid and post Apartheid era.
I like the African feel to this song. You can hear the “sounds of taxi’s” and Africa in the background.
