Lent 8 – Don’t play with your food

My parents taught me well,
They told me not to play with my food,
To play with my words instead….

Perhaps, once up-on a time
Two lines may rhyme

Others may have a cadence
To how you
the verbs and thoughts and ideas
All laid out in the way, I want them to.

Poetic Licence, they said.
Don’t play with your food, my parents said.

I am an aspiring and up and coming writer. Dubbed the wondering wanderer. Do come check out my stories.
