Poem 39 – The Rescue

The rescue
14 April 2014

I bet your tiny body carries a very delicate heart
Covered in feathers
How would that ever be enough protection?
From that scorching sun

I can’t bear to see you like that
I need to act in rescue
You’re not mine but I feel attached
You could never speak your gratitude
But I hear it in your innocent chirps

I hope this spot is fine for now
In the coolness
May the breeze
May the irony of outside
Set you free!
