Poem 8 – Leaves

Leaves
17 March 2014

Oh you Fall down here
I’ve seen you elsewhere
Bring beauty in your descent
Scattered along rows, reminding

Seasons come and seasons go
How you need to be leaving now
I raise this net in my hand
And go in for the scoop, picking

Up, up, you go
Drip goes the water from the net
I need to rid you,
You can’t fall here, this is not your place

Oh autumn leaves…
Me, chasing after you…
