Stillness and Pondering

I think this picture depicts the title aptly.
We’re away in Castleburn in the Drakensburg for the weekend. The confirmation group and I. My intent for the time away has been for the teens to listen.
Listen to their hearts.
Listen to God.

This afternoon we practiced an hour silent retreat.
No words were allowed to be spoken.
I told them to contain their mind’s distractions and actively focus on what God would say to them.

They all came back really excited.
I think in this busy noisy generation people are longing for that stillness…
