The Platform
Two lives filled with memorable moments and some times of sadness; there they wait for the evening train. She has longed for someone to really see her. Gratitude is her friend. She’s not bitter. However the desire is still there.
A few feet away, wrapped in his winter coat and thoughts; he feels alone. He counts the countries he has visited. But still he hasn’t met her.
The train halts. He steps inside the warmed carriage and sits down. Simultaneously he looks up and she looks across from her seat. Both smile. Their spirits lifted. “Hi there,” he kindly says.
