Song of the week 24 (Run Kid Run – Outline of Love)

I love how songs find me in the oddest of places:

This morning I was riding my bike to work and by the side of the railway tracks these lyrics played over and over in my head, they disarmed (my current favourite word) me:

“I cannot give up on this love I have found in You”

Also Run Kid Run; now that’s a cool band name!

Here are the rest of the lyrics:

Run Kid Run – Outline of Love

Already I’m too far behind
To make this up to you
Apologies will never do

You were too young the times not right
Things did not seem on our side
We did what felt right
(for us to carry on)

Come what may we’ll see this through
To give up on this love I found in you
I can not do

Summer crush turned into love
Take my hand we’ll ride above
All the things that might face us

You’re my best friend words can’t comprehend
The outline of a love That strongly holds us up (for us to carry on)

Come what may we’ll see this through
To give up on this love I found in you
I can not do

Some may say it’s all the same
Yet promises have brought me here in faith
Growing stronger everyday
And with that we can face anything

Come what may we’ll see this through
To give up on this love I found in you
Come what may we’ll see this through
Come what may we’ll see this
Come what may we’ll see this through

To give up on this love I found in you
(I can not do)

  1. These guys are fabulous in concert. Great tastes in music! Every time I see you post a music video, I think ‘oh yeah, great band’!
Ever heard of Paper Route? They are another fabulous band, a bit less punk rock than Run Kid Run but they have some fabulous messages written in their songs as well.
    Have a great day!

    1. have heard of them. they are pretty cool. I love sharing and speaking about music. there is a melody and a soundtrack for everyone. where are you from? or have i asked that already…
